Iranian monarchists protest in Berlin against the regime in Iran

Around 200 people take part in a demonstration on Berlin's western shopping mile, the Kurfürstendamm.

The participants are chanting and carrying signs demanding an end to the Mullah regime in Tehran. They criticize the persecution of political dissidents and the brutal suppression of recent protests in several Iranian cities. They also call on the regime to lift the blockade of the Internet in the Islamic Republic.

Rainbow flags can also be seen at the demonstration.

The background is the protests of the last days and weeks in Iran, which were sparked by a tripling of the price of gasoline. The reasons, however, lie deeper in massive economic problems, an impoverishment of the population and an alienation of many Iranians from their leadership.

The regime in Tehran is reacting to the protests with severity. According to reports, a three-figure number of people have been killed and thousands have been arrested.

Hundreds attended the annual Al Quds march in Berlin

Hundreds of people in Berlin take part in the annual Al-Quds march through the West Berlin city centre.

The core of the demonstration's demands is the destruction and, until then, the boycott of Israel.

As an alibi against accusations of anti-Semitism, members of the Jewish splinter group Neturei Karta, who reject the state of Israel on religious grounds, are taking part again this year. The right-wing extremist Uwe Meenen (NPD) takes part in the opening rally.

This year, apparently under pressure from the public discussion, the organizer is paying even more attention than usual to compliance with police requirements. According to the organizer, the police are now threatening to break up the demonstration if Israel continues to be called a "child murderer" in chants.

During the march, participants show the flags of Iran, Yemen and the regime in Syria.

On the fringes of the march there are smaller protest rallies and word battles with pro-Israeli activists. Strong police presence separates the opponents.

Protest in Berlin on the eighth anniversary of the beginning of the uprising in Syria

Several hundred Syrians and supporters demonstrated on 16 March 2019 in Berlin on the occasion of the eighth anniversary of the beginning of the uprising against the regime of Bashar al-Assad.
The protesters stood up for a free and democratic Syria. They condemned the war crimes committed by the regime in Damascus and its allies Iran and Russia, as well as the actions of radical Islamic militias such as the Al-Nusrah Front and Daesh.

The Syrian regime and its allies have been proven to have committed various war crimes. These include attacks with chemical weapons, targeted starvation of the civilian population, attacks on hospitals and massacres of civilians.

It is estimated that around 800,000 people have lost their lives. Millions are on the run and tens of thousands are in Assad's torture prisons.
