Protest in Berlin six years after the Syrian revolution has started

Hundreds took the streets of Berlin to march for peace and freedom six years after the Syrian revolution has started. The participants called Russia and Iran to withdraw their forces from Syria also as Libanese Hezbollah to do so. They condemned the international community for staying silent while watching the slaughter in Syria which has costed up to 500,000 lives and displaced millions of People.

The uprising by the people of Syria started at March 15th, 2011.

Tenants from the Gontermannstrasse in Berlin Schöneberg protest in front of the district town hall Schöneberg against rising rents. Later they went to the district parliament for talks about their problems.

Protest in Berlin against attacks on Yazidi in Iraq

Yazidi and Kurdish activists held a protest in front of the seat of the German parliament (Reichstag) in Berlin accusing the Kurdish local government in northern Iraq for attacks on the People of Shengal.

Especially they critized the German government for the delivery of weapons to the Kurdish Peshmerga Groups which are now used for the attacks.

The Yazidi recently suffered a genocide by Daesh (ISIS).

Flags of the Syrian-Kurdish groups YPG and YPJ were shown. Also flags with the Portrait of PKK leader Abdullah Öcalan. The symbols of this organizations and also the Portrait of Öcalan was recently forbidden by the Federal Ministry for Interior Affairs. Police have not intervened.

Left wing and Kurdish activists rally in front of the embassy of Turkey in Berlin to speak aout against an announced speech of the Turkish Minister of Sports inside the building. The Turkish government started a highly controversely campaign through Europe for the referendum for a presidential system.

Turkish far right nationalists drive past and show the salutation of the "Grey Wolves".

Thousands stand for the European Union in Berlin

About 5,000 gathered at Berlin's Gendarmenmarkt to stand for the European Union and its values of freedom and democracy. Right before the elections in the Netherlands and France where far right politicians are about to have a head to head race with democratic parties the joyful Demonstration wants to set a counterpoint.

The Netherlands were called to stay within the European Union. Also Flags from Poland and other countries could be seen.

The protest "Pulse of Europe" is organized by citizens. Flags and symbols of parties were not welcome.
