Indians protest in Berlin against discrimination against Muslims in India

About 100 people demonstrate in Berlin against the plans of the Indian government to reform the citizenship law and against discrimination against Muslims.

The background to this are plans by Prime Minister Modi's Hindu-nationalist ruling party BJP to grant Indian citizenship to non-Muslim refugees from neighbouring countries, but to exclude Muslims from it. During protests in India several people have died.

Several dozen people took part in a rally in front of the Russian embassy in Berlin to protest against the ongoing attacks on Idlib in Syria.

During the calm protest, candles were lit and signs called on the UN to act.

Russia, together with the air force of the regime of Syria's dictator Bashar al-Assad, flies attacks on the rebel-held province.

According to estimates, there are up to three million people in the region, who are largely defenceless against attacks by the regime and its allies. Among them are many members of the opposition who were previously displaced from other parts of the country by the regime to Idlib. Hundreds of thousands of people are now trying to escape the ongoing bombardment by fleeing.

Several hundred people, many of them refugees, took part in a rally in Berlin to protest against the continuing attacks on Idlib in Syria.
In choruses and speeches, they called for a free Syria, an end to the regime of Bashar al-Assad and the immediate withdrawal of his allies Russia and Iran, as well as irresponsible militias like Hezbollah. There were also chants against Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

Around 150 people took part in a demonstration in Berlin Neukölln and Kreuzberg in solidarity for Rojava and Kurdish self-determination. The participants also opposed the invasion by Turkey of the self-governing region in northern Syria.

Around 150 people took part in a rally in Berlin Neukölln to show solidarity with various younger and older protest movements in the Middle East and North Africa.

Speakers supported not only the long-standing movements in Kurdish and Palestinian territories, but also the eight-year revolution in Syria against the Bashar al-Assad regime, as well as the recent uprisings in Iraq and Lebanon. As well as the recent mass protests in Iran against the regime in Tehran. Supporters of Algerian freedom movements and Turkish opposition members were also present.

For the people in the affected countries and areas, freedom and respect for human rights, as well as a right to self-determination were demanded.
