Several dozen people took part in a rally in front of the Russian embassy in Berlin to protest against the ongoing attacks on Idlib in Syria.

During the calm protest, candles were lit and signs called on the UN to act.

Russia, together with the air force of the regime of Syria's dictator Bashar al-Assad, flies attacks on the rebel-held province.

According to estimates, there are up to three million people in the region, who are largely defenceless against attacks by the regime and its allies. Among them are many members of the opposition who were previously displaced from other parts of the country by the regime to Idlib. Hundreds of thousands of people are now trying to escape the ongoing bombardment by fleeing.
