Hundreds attended the annual Al Quds march in Berlin

Hundreds of people in Berlin take part in the annual Al-Quds march through the West Berlin city centre.

The core of the demonstration's demands is the destruction and, until then, the boycott of Israel.

As an alibi against accusations of anti-Semitism, members of the Jewish splinter group Neturei Karta, who reject the state of Israel on religious grounds, are taking part again this year. The right-wing extremist Uwe Meenen (NPD) takes part in the opening rally.

This year, apparently under pressure from the public discussion, the organizer is paying even more attention than usual to compliance with police requirements. According to the organizer, the police are now threatening to break up the demonstration if Israel continues to be called a "child murderer" in chants.

During the march, participants show the flags of Iran, Yemen and the regime in Syria.

On the fringes of the march there are smaller protest rallies and word battles with pro-Israeli activists. Strong police presence separates the opponents.

Around 400 people demonstrated their solidarity with Israel and their rejection of anti-Semitism in a demonstration through Berlin. The protest march was organized by left-wing groups.

The occasion was the Al-Quds march, a march against Israel propagandistically organized by Iran, which took place on the same day. The pro-Israeli protest ended near the opening rally of the Al Quds march.

Radical right-wing rallies and counter protests before the Reichstag in Berlin

Radical right-wing rallies and counter protests before the Reichstag in Berlin

Around 100 people took part in a rally of right-wing radicals with an ethnic orientation in front of the Reichstag in Berlin. The former teacher Nikolai Nerling, who had been dismissed by the state of Berlin because of his anti-constitutional sentiments, called for a rally.

In racist and openly anti-Semitic speeches, the restoration of the German Reich was called for, among other things.

At the same time, a rally with about 70 participants took place at the same place. This was attached to the French movement of the Yellow West, which led to a corresponding clothing style.

The group staatenlos.info had called for the right-wing conspiracy theorist Rüdiger Klasen (Hoffmann). Journalists were also verbally threatened here. One person is taken into custody by the police.

During the rallies, up to 300 counter-demonstrators gathered to protest loudly against the right-wing radicals.

The police kept both sides at a distance, there were no incidents.

A group of young people rapped the haTikwa, Israel's national anthem. The main speaker was Arye Sharuz Shalicar, former press officer of the Israeli army.

Participants will use signs to show solidarity with Israel and for an undivided Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.

Anti-semitic Quds Day march in Berlin

Anti-semitic Quds Day march in Berlin

About 1,000 attended the annual Quds Day march in Berlin. The main goal of the march is the end of the state of Israel. In anti-semitic chants, speeches, and on signs many of the usual anti jewish stereotypes were shown. Among the participants are, as every year, some Rabbis of the jewish sect Neturei Karta who were used to cover up the anti-semitic character of the demonstration. The German conspiracy theorist and leader of the Party "Deutsche Mitte" Christoph Hörstel gave a speech in which he called for an end of Israel.
