Fundamentalist Christians "March for Life" in Berlin against abortions accompanied by counter protests

About 5,000 fundamentalist Christians attended the annual "March for life" in Berlin against abortions. The march was accompanied by counter protests of left wing and feminist activists. Riot police had to intervene several times to remove activists from the right wing march.

Blockades forced the Fundamentalists to shorten their route. Journalists were verbally and physically attacked by the participants of the "March of Life".

Supporters of the Syrian revolution held a rally at Berlin's Brandenburg Gate to remind the chemical attacks on Ghouta, a suburb of Damascus, four years ago. During this attack by regime forces about 1,500 people were killed.

The participants called for an end of the reign of Syria's dictator Bashar al-Assad and condemned Russia for supporting the regime.

The participants spoke out against nationalism and Marine LePen and her Front National. The march celebrated the open borders in the EU and the values of democracy and freedom.
