"March for Europe" in Berlin

Thousands attended a march in Berlin at the 60th anniversary of the Treaty of Rome. They celebrated the birth of the European Union and its values of freedom and democracy. On signs and in speeches open borders were demanded and the Brexit critized. Right wing populism and nationalism was condemned.

March in Berlin for "Hayir" in Turkish referendum

Hundreds marched in Berlin's districts Neukölln and Kreuzberg to urge the Turkish community to vote with "No" (Turkish: Hayir) at the upcoming referendum about the constitution of Turkey. Along the route supporters of president Recep Tayyip Erdogan showed the R4bia sign and the far right wolf salute.

Politicians of the Left Party (Die Linke) Judith Benda and Hakan Taş joined the march.

Kurds march in Berlin to celebrate Newroz

About 250 Kurds gathered a march in Berlin's western inner city to celebrate the Kurdish Newroz.

Due a recent ban by the German Federal Ministry for Internal Affairs no YPG and YPJ flags were shown. But some flags with the also banned Portrait of PKK leader Abdullah Öcalan could be seen.

Protest in Berlin six years after the Syrian revolution has started

Hundreds took the streets of Berlin to march for peace and freedom six years after the Syrian revolution has started. The participants called Russia and Iran to withdraw their forces from Syria also as Libanese Hezbollah to do so. They condemned the international community for staying silent while watching the slaughter in Syria which has costed up to 500,000 lives and displaced millions of People.

The uprising by the people of Syria started at March 15th, 2011.

Tenants protest against rising rents in Berlin Schöneberg

Tenants from the Gontermannstrasse in Berlin Schöneberg protest in front of the district town hall Schöneberg against rising rents. Later they went to the district parliament for talks about their problems.
