Around 100 people took part in a rally against the President of Venezuela Nicolás Maduro at the Brandenburg Gate in Berlin. They demanded an end to his rule and supported the self-proclaimed interim president Juan Guaidó and thanked Germany for the recognition of Guaidó.
On signs, they lamented the thousands of deaths that Madura's rule has claimed.
Around 100 people demonstrate through Berlin's centre to protest for a humane settlement on family reunification of fugitives.
A broad alliance of organisations, including "Family Life for All", had called for a protest.
Background is the still restrictive handling of family reunification for fugitives, especially for those with subsidiary status, by the Federal Government. In addition, there are bureaucratic hurdles that make it more difficult to follow, even if this is legally required.
Activists from Cameroon protested in Berlin for an end to the rule of President of Cameroon Paul Biya.
They supported Maurice Kamto, whom they regard as elected president, and also demanded the end of civil wars in the country. Kamto was arrested a few days ago.
Around 300 people gathered in front of the Chinese embassy in Berlin to demonstrate against the persecution and detention of members of the Uighur people in China. However, the Uighur region was also referred to as East Turkmenistan.

The rally was called by the German Communist Party (DKP) and other left-dogmatic groups. Diether Dehm, MdB (Die Linke) and Andrej Hunko, MdB (Die Linke) also took part in the rally. Some participants appear in the yellow west, apparently following the Gilets Jaunes movement from France.
Besides Venezuela's flag, there were also flags of Russia, Cuba and the former Soviet Union.
The background was the continuing conflict in Venezuela, after Juan Guaidó had proclaimed himself the new interim president and was immediately recognized by the USA. The EU had set the elected president Nicolás Maduro, who is accused of dictatorial leadership, a deadline to call new elections. Several dozen people have already been killed in protests in Venezuela.
