Syrian and German activists held a rally in Berlin near the Brandenburg Gate in solidarity with the Palestinian people of Yarmouk in Syria. The town inhabited by Palestinian refugees was conquered by the forces of Syria's dictator Bashar al-Assad. Yarmouk was under siege and heavily bombed by regime forces and its allies since 2013.
The activists also urged foreign troops to leave and called for a democratic and free Syria.
Hundreds young nursing apprentices marched in Berlin for a better helath care system in Germany. They urged the governemt to put more money into the system and to create more jobs. Despite the catastrophic situation in the collapsing health care system there was also a lot of party mood during the march.
About 250 joined a march in Berlin's inner city against child poverty and the social injustice single parents in Germany are suffering from. Among the protesters was Dietmar Bartsch, Group Chairman of the Left Party in the German parliament.
Iranian acitivsts held a rally in Berlin in front of the embassy of the USA to show their solidarity with the women in white in Iran. They urged the regime in Teheran to consider human rights and condemned violence against women.
Hundreds of disabled persons and supporters attended a march in Berlin at the European Protest Day of Disabled Persons. They called for an end of discrimination, a better inclusion and better health care. At the end rally Berlin's Senator for Social Issues Elke Breitenbach (Left Party) gave a speech.
