Syrians celebrate in Berlin the seventh anniversary of the uprising

Syrian supporters of the democratic opposition, among them many refugees, reminded in Berlin the seventh anniversary of the uprising against dicator Bashar al-Assad. In March 2011 the wish of the people to topple the regime and for a democratic and free Syria let them took the streets. The regime answered with 500,000 deads, millions forced to flee and ten thousands in the torture prisons.

With the help of its closest allies Russia and Iran the regime tries desperatly to survive until today.

Some dozens of Kurds held a rally in front of the embassy of Russia in Berlin to protest against the attacks on northern-Syrian Afrin (Efrin) by Turkish forces and allied militias. They critizied Russia for the opening of the Syrian airspace for the Turkish airforce which heavily bombed the Kurdish YPG/YPJ to support the attacks of ground troops.

About 1,000 Kurds marched in Berlin Kreuzberg to protest against the attacks on northern-Syrian Afrin (Efrin) by the Turkish Forces and its allied militias. During the emotional march clashes broke out when a Turkish nationalist waved a flag of Turkey out of a window at the route of the march. Stones and bottles were thrown at the nationalist. Police interfered and arrested several Kurdish activists. After a short sit-in the march went on and arrived then peaceful the end of the route.

Hundreds Kurds gathered a spontaneous march from Berlin Neukölln to Kreuzberg as Turkish forces and allied militias stand just a few hundreds meters from the center of the northern Syrian-Kurdish Afrin (Efrin). While the march was highly emotional it remains peaceful.

Around 100 Kurds gather in Berlin in front of the seat of the German Social Democrats (SPD) for the North Syrian Kurd Afrin (Efrin). Afrin is being attacked by Turkish forces and Allied militias. The activists accused the SPD of supporting Erdogan's Turkey by supplying arms to the German NATO partner.
