Around 30 people took part in a rally outside the European Commission headquarters in Berlin in support of the Catalan independence movement.
Speeches called for the release of political prisoners and the suspension of proceedings against other members of the movement. The participants came from the left spectrum, including members of the German Communist Party (DKP).
Ukrainian and Russian activists gathered in Berlin in support of the Ukrainian allegedly political prisoner Oleg Sentsov who serves a 20 year time of prison in Russia. Sentsov started an unlimited hunger strike to free the at least 60 other political prisoners in Russia.
Activists also called for a boycot of the football world championship in Russia and demanded Russia to leave Crimea.
Dozens Catalans held a rally near the embassy of the European Commission in Berlin to protest against political imprisonments in Spain. Spanish prosecutors gave out arrest warrants against Catalan politicians. The activists also support the independence of Catalonia.
