Around 150 people take part in a rally in Berlin in front of the Reichstag building to mark the 10th anniversary of the revolution in Syria. The participants, including many refugees, demand freedom for the people of Syria and an end to the dictatorship of Bashar al-Assad.
On March 15, 2011, peaceful demonstrations began in Syria against the regime and for democracy and freedom. The activists demand an end to violence and the brutal regime of al-Assad in Syria. The regime responded with brutal force and tried to put down the protests. Not least with the help of its closest allies Russia and Iran, as well as Iranian-controlled militias, hundreds of thousands of Syrians died in the regime's attempt to stay in power.
