Thousands of Kurds marched in Berlin in solidarity with Afrin (Efrin)

Up to ten thousand of Kurds marched in Berlin from Alexanderplatz to the Brandenburg Gate in solidarity with northern Syrian Afrin (Efrin). They condemned the attacks of Turkey on the Kurdish city and urges the international community to react. They demanded from the German government do stop the delivery of weapons to its NATO partner.

Some smaller clashes with riot police happened after smoke bombs and fireworks were used in the youth block of the demonstration. Some arrests were made by the police.

In front of the Brandenburg Gate dozens of flags with the portrait of PKK leader Abdullah Öcalan were shown inspite of the ban of the PKK in Germany. The police arrested some of those who held these flags

Rally and march in Berlin to save Ghouta and Afrin

A rally in front aof the embassy of Russia was held to remind of the people whicht try to survive in the besieged and heavily bombed Ghouta in Syria. Ghouta is under attack by forces of the regime and Russia. The activists also remind of the people in northern Syrian-Kurdish Afrin (Efrin) which is attacked by Turkey.

The chief of the Green Party, Robert Habeck, held a speech. Also a MP of the Left Party and Syrian activists.

Later the participants marched to the Turkish embassy.

Syrians protest in Berlin to save Ghouta from the regime's attacks

Hundreds Syrians held a protest in Berlin to draw attention on the desperate Situation of the People in besieged Ghouta. In the recent days up to 400 people were killed by attacks of the regime forces of Bashar al-Assad and his closest ally Russia.

A performance showed the deep grief of a man whose child was killed.

Dozens participate a march in Berlin to remind of the victims of slavery and colonialism in the German past. They also urged Berlin's auhtorities to change racist street names.

The annual march took place for the 12th time.
