Protest in Berlin against persecution of homosexuals in Chechnya
Around 80 people are taking part in a demonstration in Berlin to draw attention to the continuing persecution of homosexuals in Chechnya.
The demonstration passes the Russian embassy, where an intermediate rally is held, and ends in front of the Reichstag.
The background to this is the reports that have been going on for two years that homosexuals are regularly subjected to persecution, torture and murder in the Russian republic.
The demonstration will take place on the Day of Remembrance for Homosexual Persecuted Persecutees under National Socialism.
